About Air Tightness Testing NI
Air Tightness Testing NI (ATTNI) specialises in air pressure testing in domestic properties and energy assessment in both commercial and domestic properties across a range of industries, including construction, property and service.
With over 15 years of experience we have developed a strong reputation as an industry leader in air pressure testing and optimising building energy efficiencies through SAP and SBEM assessments. Our client base includes leading architects and contractors as well as self-build projects.
We are members of Elmhurst Energy and ATTMA and have City & Guilds, ABBE and BINDT accreditations so all our inspections and reports are government approved. We are authorised to complete inspections without the presence of building personnel, meaning we can be flexible to our customer’s needs and schedules. Our software and conventions used to produce energy assessment reports comply with Building Regulations Part F1 and F2. Our air-testing is carried out to ATTMA TS1 standards using our UKAS calibrated equipment.

History
ATTNI is a father, daughter partnership, established in 2007. Michael, who having previously worked in the construction industry for over 30 years decided to branch into the air testing side of the industry as this had become a requirement for new builds when there was a change to the Regulations. He travelled to England to train with Stroma as an air tester and when qualified did further training with Elmhurst Energy, the leading and government approved Scheme and software provider to become an accredited Energy Assessor, providing SAP reports and EPCs.
With over 10 years of experience in air testing and energy assessment, Michael’s daughter Hannah joined the business in 2018. Having studied Law at Queens and working in a Solicitor’s and Local Government offices, Hannah takes care of the office and admin side of the business. Hannah is also qualified as an accredited energy assessor with Elmhurst and has processed hundreds of design SAPs and as-built SAPs and EPCs in her 4 years working for ATTNI. In 2020 Hannah qualified as an accredited Non Domestic Energy Assessor, and can carry out SBEMs to provide EPCs and BRUKL reports for commercial, non domestic buildings.
